acne and digestion

Recently I have discovered a very important peice of information effecting my acne. It has to do with the way we digest food and its effect on acne. Like many on this board I try to eat healthy to minimize acne breakouts. And many like myself will agree that eating healthy does help your skin but it wasn't until recently that I discovered a much more important fact regarding food and acne. It is more important how you eat as opposed to what you eat. Like many american's I use to inhale my meals with very little time for chewing or relaxing and enjoying my food until my recent discovery. Eating very fast and not chewing properly was not only effecting my body's digestion but my acne as well. It is recommended that you chew every mouth of food 40 times or more for optimal digestion. If your not chewing properly your not allowing your mouth to release enzymes to start the digestion process and allowing chunks of food to move through your GI track causing a nuraber of problems throughout the body. Do a search online if you don't believe me. I have been implementing this advice for the last month and a half and it was been a huge help to my acne. I encourage anyone reading to try chewing there food till its almost a liquid at very meal. You have nothing to lose to try it and you may be able to make a huge improvement in your personal fight on acne. Good luck
