Aciphex Side Effects

Does this really work? What are the side effects, even long term? How long is the usual prescribed time to take this medication? The next step for me is an endoscopy. I have lost 16 lbs since Nov 6 and feel like someone hit me in the stomach. Has anyone tried aloe vera juice, gel or the pill form? What about mastic gum?
 
I had bad dreams and nightmares nightly while taking Aciphex but this also happens with Protonix. That's why I hate taking these type of medications but there's no choice sometimes. It's exhausting. I took PPI medications for about a year and a few months. This time it's been 2 months.
 
I have been taking for over a year. I have had no side effects. It has help me a lot. I got a coupon card from my doctor for $35 off per RX up to 6. This helps with the cost. I hope you find something that help.
 
I found out that there is an herbal cure that has worked for some people... named "ceasefire"... for the acid reflux... and mastic gum (a name.. not real gum)... some people have sworn by it.


Someone else told me that to neutralize the acidy in our system... we could use glutamine mixed with water or blended with a banana like a smoothie. They said in one week the stomach stopped hurting and no more reflux... the glutamine is an alkaline counterbalancing the acid. It's worth a try. If you buy it at whole fooRAB market... and it doesn't work... you can return it with a receipt. Its "Essential Glutamine Powder".. in the pure form. The lady at the store said that she swears by it, since she had ulcers before. Anything is worth a try from all of the chemicals from all the other stuff they give us. The CeaseFire is supposed to take care of the bacteria that can cause an ulcer, etc.
