Hi everyone! It has been a while since I have posted on here. To refresh everone's memories I had an L4-L5 fusion in Deceraber of 2006. I have been doing great until recently. Lately, my legs have been aching constantly causing me pain and uncomfort and I also still have some residual nerve pain in my legs causing sore spots on my calf. Can anyone relate to this problem or am I just going nuts? I guess I feeling a little needy and need some reassurance. I really don't want to go back to the doctor again.

i have the same symptoms. no back pain from surgery just legs aching. not bad during the day but trying to sleep at night uncomfortable. only 1 month out of surgery though. started walking a mile 1 week out hoping that would help the recovery will see. good luck

Hi, I didn't have fusion but I had laminectomies on L3 thru L5 in Sept 06. I know I have some scar tissue issues, but lately I've also begun to have cramp-like pains in my rear and down the backs of my thighs, and the front of my left thigh, but it only happens while walking or standing too long. I also have nerve pains in several areas (and in some areas, i'd never had nerve pains there before). My cramp-like pain is reminding me of one type of pain I had before surgery so I am praying that it's not really the same thing again. But the farther I try to walk, the worse it gets and I find myself bending over forward again. I really don't know what is causing it for me, though. I see my surgeon in June so I guess I'll wait until then. I already went through ESI's with a new PM, and they did help alot. But now they are worn off and I'm having alot of problems again. I also know there are other people on here who have similiar problems so I want to let you know you are not alone at all.
