they have relatively the same specs. The acer is a lot lighter, and has longer battery life, but no dvd-drive (which i dont care too much about). The only thing preventing me from getting an acer is its reputation. I've been hearing negative comments about acer, for example; how they have inferior parts in the laptops, and i want to buy a laptop that would last at least 2 years without paying for extended warranty. Sony has the brand name, and reputation, but Idk if Sony vaio laptops are as reliable as their reputation. If you know anything about laptops and their reliabilty/quality, please help me decide with your experience. i need to choose one of the laptops by the end of this day.
