acer aspire laptop bluetooth won't work help!!!?

in my instructions book it says press fn and f3 together i do it and the pic comes up with bluetooth but with a x on it to meanin it is off i keep pressin it but see the pic with a x all th time how i sort it
 
Have you connected your bluetooth device to your computer? Hook it up to allow your OS to detect / install it, install the software and update the drivers THEN run the configuration process and it should work. Just be sure that the device you're using is compatible with your laptop.
