accutane with antidepressants

Hi,

I have a question... I was previously on accutane stopped treatment in July 08. My face cleared up COMPLETELY...Worked Great, however my acne is now coming back and I want to go back on the Accutane. First I was wondering if I could take it with an antidepressant (Lexapro) When I last took accutane I was not on any Anti depressants. I have (GAD) General Anxiety Disorder and I am a little Depressed but wasn;t diagnosed with depression. Has anyone ever been on an Anti depressant while taking Accutane, does anyone know if you can take the both together??? What about the LOW dose of accutane I was reading about taking it every other day in Lower doses. I appreciate ANY Help anyone can give me.

This is definitely important to talk to your doctor about, but I took Accutane with Prozac. Hope this helps. Good luck!
 
Thanks for responding was beginning to think I wasn't going to get any response. I will be discussing it with my Dr. Thanks for that advice. Can I ask you how long you were on the Prozac before you started the Accutane treatment? Did you have any Side effects while taking the 2 of them together? Also if I could ask how many mlg. of Prozac and how many Mlg. of the Accutane and how long did you do the accutane for? Is your skin cleared up?? Sorry for so many ????'s just would like to hear from someone else that has experience with an Anti-depressant and Accutane. I was reading on some site that said sometimes being on an SSRI while taking accutane can help w/ the symptoms... Don't know if this was true, ever hear about that?? If you can think of anything else that might help, please let me know.
