I am 18 years old and have had moderate acne for about 5 or 6 years now. My dermatologists have put me on about every kind of acne medication you can think of (both topical and oral treatments) and nothing has showed any significant results. Although I do not suffer from cysts, I have been prescribed with accutane to help clear me up and deal with some of the scarring. I am only on my fifth day and the only negative side effect I have experienced was a headache due to dehydration.
When does the "initial" breakout usually happen? And how long does it take to get over? I feel as though I am seeing results already (my skin is less oily and my current breakout seems to be drying up very quickly) but I don't want to get my hopes up. I am just so sick of dealing with acne and cannot wait to be clear.
