Accutane not sure, help!

I am deciding if I need accutane. Oily face, small acne. It's all part of puberty. However, I want it gone! I'm wondering if there is anything I should worry about when using this product? Will it work for me if the acne is caused by my matabolism?
 
This is a question you need to discuss with a Dermatologist.

If the Doc decides you are a candidate, you have to visit him every 30 days to continue the treatment. They do not just prescribe you this medication and send you on your way... the monitor you the whole time... including blood tests every 30 for the first couple months.

I am actually starting the process for accutane now. I haven't started the pill yet, but as a girl (which no offense, i cant tell by your name =( sorry!!!) I have to be on birth control for a month before, for the duration of treatment, and a month after accutane. Also, I have to get pregnancy tests every month, including before and a month after. You also have to get your blood tested every month (sterile...meaning you cant eat anything before). I have had many many frienRAB go on accutane, some with severe acne and some with acne that was just annoying to them, and every single one of them has had AMAZING results. Honestly, you can't even tell they had a pimple in their life! I had a counselor at camp who had porcelin skin, and she told me she went on accutane! My dermatologist told me results are visible in the first month...in the 2nd and 3rd i'll be looking pretty good...and during the 4th and 5th ill be asking why im even on the pill still! she said no one would be able to tell that i once suffered from acne! I would definitely recommend talking to someone about it!
 
Generally speaking, derms won't prescribe Accutane if you only have minor acne.

Anyway, Accutane will work in almost all cases. What you should know: it's a harsh drug with a lot of side effects. Some of them can be pretty serious. Common side effects are: dry skin, dry eyes, loss of hair, reduced sight at night or when fatigued, bleeding nose, some pain is muscles/joints. Of course, it's different for everyone, except the dry skin: that's a guaranteed present you'll get from it.
