accutane & hair thinning

hi everyone..
i finished accutane just over six months ago...it wasnt until after my treatment i started noticing a lot of hair thinning....it has not got any better, even after 6 months..will it get better? i would like to hear from others who have been experiencing the same thing..
i am taking some good vitamins but have not seen any improvment..
also..i have been reading a lot about nisim products..has anyone tried these products?

ps..my hair is also not the same as it used to be...it feels more fine and limp..and does not curl like it used to..could just be the shampoo im using tho
 
my hair became very very weak about 4-5 months after i finished my course of accutane. i didn't know what to do...i'd get out of the shower and corab it and so much would come out. luckily nothing noticable. i honestly didn't do anything different but after about a month, my hair went back to normal. if it bothers you a lot, i would definitely talk to your derm. maybe he or she can suggest treatment.
 
I also noticed hair thinning during/after treatment. I THINK it got a little better about a year later. I was WORRIED when I first noticed it, but later I didnt think it was too dramatic. After a while I didnt REALLY care, since my acne was gone.
 
I did a search of this.
Accutaine can cause hair loss.
It varies person to person who take Accutaine.
But I read the people who lost hair while taking accutaine.
9 months to a year later, alot of the hair grew back.
Give it a year, see if your hair grows back.
Or maybe most of it will grow back.
How much grows back will vary person to person.

I would obviously recommend not taking Accutaine anymore.
Its good you posted this, so people know about this.
Doxycycline is a great product for getting rid of acne.
Doxycycline does not cause hair loss.
I would also tell you, that certain vitamins are good for hair growth.

For Vitamins I like Biotin.
Biotin is a very good vitamin for growing hair.
You need to take 5000 MCG, which is 5MG

Calcium Citrate with Vitamin D is also very good. .
Calcium Citrate absorbs better in the body then Calcium Carbonate
But you usually have to take 2 Calcium Citrate vitamins to = the Carbonate vitamin.
Usually Calcium Citrate vitamins are 250 MG per Calcium.
Where the Carbonate is 500 to 600MG per calcium.

I like Osteo Bi-Flex.
They make a new one that has Glucosamine, Chondroitin, MSM, Collagen and Hyaluronic Acid. The key ingredient is a potent extract of Boswellia serrata called 5-Loxin, which is 10 times more concentrated than typical Boswellia extracts.
This is a really good vitamin for strengthening hair.
Walgreens. Walmart, Target and most of the major drug stores sell it.

Also 1000 MG FlaxSeed is good.
I get the Spectrum FlaxSeed, which is 1000MG per Gel.

For shampoos, I like the Thicker Fuller Hair.
This Shampoo really improves the hair shaft and will make your hair thicker.
It has alot of good ingredients.
Rosemary, Chamomile, Hydrolyzed Wheat Protein, Hydrolyzed Wheat Starch, Ginko Biloba Extract, Retinol, Panthenol, Biotin, Aloe, Jojoba

Anther great shampoo is called Abba Creme moist.
Do a search of it or look on E bay.
Its got the best ingredients and feels really good on your hair.
It lathers really nice.
It has Cherry Bark, Almond, Wheat Protein, Wheat Starch, Soy, Aloe, Chamomilla, Flower extract, Cucuraber, Amino aciRAB.
 
yes, I heard accutane does cause hair loss. Do all acne antiboitics cause hairloss??? My friend was on an antiboitic and was getting bald spots. I'm on doxycycline, and starting to notice hair thinning, but I'm not sure if it's from the doxycycline or from slicking my hair up with gel in a ponytail everyday.
