I just got a script for Accutane. It's the generic - Clara....??
The doctor said to take ONE every other day. I filled the script and only had 20 capsules. I counted out the days on my calendar and I will run out of pills a week before the next appointment.
I called the office to move the appointment up. The nurse said they were booked already (for late aug) and to take it every three days instead. It's 40 mg.
She assures me this is routine. I do not have severe acne so I never expected to be on a high/often dose anyway. It's more persistent, but mild to moderate acne.
So if the lower spaced-out dose keeps me from having bad side effects initially and maybe warRAB off the initial break out, that sounRAB good to me. The nurse said it would still "work" taking it every three days.
