Where did that post about someones teeth and accutane go? Oh well. I just wanted to say that I believe my teeth were affected by accutane also. they didnt fall out :D but I had bone loss in the back of my 4 front top teeth. I was on accutane twice. the first time it came back after two years and the second time it came back after a year. It cleared my face up beautifully during those times. its not as bad now. I hope I grow out of it soon as my father and sister grew out of it when they were 20 or so. Im 19. If I do accutane saved me from some serious scarring. I would never go on it again though. I also had problems with my back. If your going on accutane make sure you know all the side affects and be sure you tell your derm if you experience any right away! And I reccommend everyone here should visit a chiropracter every 2 weeks, back pain or not. Youll thank me later.

Went to see my derm. today. she assured me that accutane does not cause bone loss. I guess it was a controversial subjuct but they proved it false. She said it is a very safe drug, especially if you are young and healthy. she said I could go on it again but Im going to do Tetrecycline and benzaclin for a couple months and see how it works. She also said a person cannot develop an immunity to tetrecycline and it does not harm your digestive system.

yeah, i think it effected my teeth as well. I have had chipping, actually more like a peeling on two of my molars. Its almost like a piece of the tooth just peeled off on the side. Not really a chip because its in the middle of the tooth, not the edge :O Weird...

accutane most definetely can cause bone loss. I have had severe loss of bone mineral density from accutane. Your doctor is wrong.
