Hello,
I am planning on going on Accutane next month, but I also want to get my breast done...I want to get my breast done the last month I would be on accutane....Does anyone think this is a bad idea? will it affect my surgery...?
Or should I wait a couple of months after Im finished my accutane course? and is that even safe?
Any ladies got this done after taking accutane???

Thanks for any replies!

ive been wondering the same thing!! im on my 5th month of accutane and would like to get my breasts done as well. im going to wait at least a month after since i guess your skin is more susceptable to scarring on accutane. i would prolly wait longer if i wasnt so desperate to get mine done(ive been waiting for at least a year)

I am about to start accutane for the second time. At my derm's visit the other day we discussed beginning accutane, and then I had asked her about removing two small moles on my face. She told me that she'd rather wait until a couple of months after I was finished with accutane since it slows down your body's healing process.

Those were just two small moles and she was worrying about scarring, so I would imagine breast augmentations would take much longer to heal and there is greater possibility of scarring. Hope this helps some.

Thanks for the replies...yea I guess I should wait a few months after...just really scared of anything goin wrong cause of the accutane

I was actually doing a lot of reading online about accutane today and came across a statement that said one should wait three years for any kind of major (non emergency) surgery due to complications it will cause with scarring.
