I recently earned an associate's degree in business administration and would like to transfer to one of these schools. Having toured both extensively, I find aspects of both schools that I like.
Rider is a great, close-knit community. You can get individualized attention, get to know your teachers, have them know you by name (instead of by a number), etc. Most importantly, I can become an Accounting major right away instead of applying to a seperate business school within, like you have to do at Rutgers.
On the other hand, it's hard to ignore Rutgers' reputation as a "big-name" state school, internationally recognized and so on. It would have its challenges, like finding my way among tens of thousands of students, trying to learn in 300-people lecture halls, etc. But it can be argued that all of this is good experience for the real world and so on.
So which one is preferable? Rider for its relative comforts, 'personal' feel, etc. or Rutgers for its real-world atmosphere? Academically, both schools are outstanding for my major. Still, any insights on which one may have the academic edge, if any? Thanks everyone.
