We all know that currently and without a doubt that FannieMae and FreddieMac guidelines along with FHA programs that use these guidelines would flat out DENY a loan regardless of your FICO score, income, and down payment if you have a single tradeline in "DISPUTED STATUS". Assuming manual writing is not an option.
I have found a service (eCreditAdvisor.com) that would attempt to remove the dispute status for you by sending certified letters with receipts to the credit bureaus as well as the creditor in question. However, when the bureaus and creditor fail to update this request, eCreditAdvisor would send you copies of the letters they sent (letters requesting the removal of the disputed status) along with the certified mail receipts so that your loan officer could do a manual repull of the credit with the 3rd party bureau (LandSafe, Credco, Kroll...).
Assuming that this initial repull/rescore of the credit with LandSafe, Credco, Kroll is successful in order for DU or LP to accept your credit and loan application, what would happen when the lender repull the credit one more time before funding the loan (i.e. the FannieMae Loan Quality Initiative…)? At that point, would it be possible to submit the certified mails and copies of the letters sent again, for another rescore with the lender’s credit bureau (whoever else they may use)??
