I know people that would have sued. Your cousin was at fault though, pedestrians always have the right of way even if they dart across the street like maniacs. Even if it wasn't even his/her fault, the law would pin it on him/her.

You need to contact the parents because they will find out their child was hit by a car eventually and they will want to press some legal issues on you.Contact the parents and tell them what happened

My cousin and I were driving home and this kid (about 13 or 14) darts out in the middle of the main road, so I guess J walking? Anyways he had plenty on time to get across but he stupidly stops and my cousin hits the breaks. The kid was okay no injures he got up and was walking okay except for the back tire the bike was intact too. My cousin is freaking out because it was the kids fault but the kid said he was okay that he wasn't hurt and even his friend said the only thing wrong was the tire. We got out and asked if he was okay so it wasn't a hit and run but they walked off so we didn't exchange any information phone number or insurance. I'm sure that matter is over and done with but I don't know if we handled it correctly or not... after it was just a kid NO parents so what could we do?
The kid walked off, I have no way to contact him and he wasn't injured the only thing damaged was the bike tire

I think you did everything that could have been done. Except I think I would have give the kid my phone number in case he needs it.

But there's nothing else you should do now. It's okay, relax. But I'm sure it was frightening that's why you think it's not over. But it is !
