accident with pedestrian on bike?

I was driving below speed limit and right before i came to intersection 3 boys flew in front of my car without stopping and I struck one with my vehicle. The boy admitted to being in the wrong, he had no brakes and was not wearing any safety gear. i was not cited and i was told by police that i was not in the wrong. He is 10 years old also. i found out the family has filed a claim with my insurance company. does anyone have any input or advice on what may happen. i would think it totally unfair that my rates would go up because of this boys negligence.
 
Make a counterclaim. Any damage caused to your car and to your nerves is the responsibility of his parents for not ensuring that he was properly supervised.
