accessories for studio photography?

Actually, something like this isn't bad to get on eBay. Backdrop stands are pretty low tech, not much to goof up although they do come in differently qualities.

Cloth backdrops are also available there. Narrow muslin (like 6x9 feet) is fairly inexpensive but really designed for portraits, not full length shots. If your room is also backlit, you need to be sure you get a good grade of muslin otherwise the backlighting will show through.

If you are talking about seamless paper, try somewhere local. The price is cheaper at a place like B&H but shipping something that heavy costs a bunch.

hei.. i was gonna do some studio photography for a friend of mine. can anyone recommend a good site or shop to get basic balc and white backdrops for a good price? and what are some have to have accessories for good photos? besides a dslr camera fo course.
thanks ben.. for this session i was hoping to use some natural light. im not ready for the strobe lights and stuff yet. i have a sunroom type spot in my house and was gonna use that. it has lots of good light and you can get good images there. i was basically wanting to know where i could get backdrops and stands. and maybe stools and stuff like that.

www.adorama.com has great gear and great prices.
what accessories? hmm.. that depends on what youre shooting. I have tens of thousands of dollars invested in gear including cameras, lenses, lights, props, backgrounds, etc etc etc etc. what you need wholly depends on what you do.

Go to bhphotovideo.com. Get 2 or 3 strobes with stands and umbrellas, along with a light meter that can measure flash, and a good tripod.

Of course, it helps to know how to use all that stuff.
