accessories for my bmx bike?

About two months ago i got my bike in the mail and it wieghed 26.25 pounds with out the pegs im wondering if getting new plastic pedals(i currently have metal) would make much of the differance in the weight also im looking for new grips. what are the best grips and pedals you can by for under 55 total
