i recently bought a 1997 chevy venture from an auto service shop. i was told that the ac had just been serviced and that they installed new parts. i didnt check to make sure before purchasing (bad decision on my part). so one day i turn on the air and nothings coming out of the vents. i feel cool air coming out near my feet as i drive. i had a family friend look at it one day and he noticed what he called a "deflector" in one of my cars compartments. he said that the air is not being sent to the vents because they never snapped the piece in. therefore the air is trying to get out wherever it can.ie near my feet. makes sense, but im wondering if installing that piece is something that a novice such as myself can do and do i have to take off the panel inside of the car or is it something under the hood. if the panel, then how do i take it off? does it just unscrew and snap off or is it more complicated? thanx in advance for any answers
