I just had new tires and new brakes put on two months ago
The ABS light came on last week just as my car hit 100K miles. The ABS light would come on if I drove faster than 60mph. Then it would come on after 20 minutes of driving if I was going less than 60mph. Then, when I turned my car on, it immediately made this tick-tick-tick sound (like a clock or bomb) and when I started to drive, my ABS brakes started pumping (even though my foot wasn't on the brake). When I would brake (while it was pumping) it continued to pump as if I was sliding on an icy road. When it finished, my ABS light came on and my car acted normal (except for the light that is on). That is the order that it goes in.
My brakes just pumped yesterday, so this morning the light didn't come on until I hit 60mph...
please do not respond if you are guessing or just going to recommend, "TAKE IT TO A MECHANIC NOW!!"
