ABS on a Superbike?

So I just read that the Monsters are coming with an ABS system.

How long do you suppose it will be before they are putting them on the Superbikes?

Would you even want it?

I read all the hype about the ABS on the CBR and everyone loves it. Just wondering if it is worth the hassle.

I had ABS on a KTM and it was terrible pretty much had it turned off all the time , only way I can see it being of use is in the wet but really only on a touring type bike and forgot that my ST3 s had it as well same deal poop.
 
I think it's a good thing.. Better if it has a disable switch. Gearing down hard rear slightly skipping or backing the rear into a turn then ABS kicking in???

But I'm sure in many instances would help in sudden panic grab of the front brakes when that texting teenager suddenly makes a left in front of you.. Brembo's are powerful and some what touchy/grabby

And how much does that weigh RC?

It'll be a sad day when they put it on a Ducati superbike (which I'm certain they won't)

Apples... oranges.... horses for courses - but please.... not on a 'superbike'

What's next? Cup holders and airbags ?
