About to obtain my History degree, what next?

I am about to graduate with a Degree in History and Sociology. Im planning to go away next year overseas and need to find a job badly. What jobs can i get with my degree? Im kinda desparate too, anything that can help me get good bux (possibly 30k or more) temporarily.

I live in New Zealand, and will get a degree from NZs top university if that puts it into context.
