? about the 1998 honda blackbird?

does any one know if the rear end of a blackbird is different on either of its sides , as I've just put on a new full stainless steel exhaust and two oval end cans but tried forever to match the sides the right side is like an inch further over compared to the left side ??? tried for hours with the link pipes in every different angle but cant get them the same
