I have bench bled the master cylinder as you have described and the problems remain. I have absolutely no give in the pedal on the two brakes I mentioned previously. No change. Where do I go now?

Didn't read your original post, but if you mean only the front brakes or rear brakes are functioning, the transfer/proportioning valve has probably shifted, isolating the front or rear. Your "brake" light may be on in the dash to, unless the bulb is burned out. You'd have to bleed the opposite end wheel slowly to get the valve re-centered. It is the metal block right under or in front of the master cylinder, with a single wire connection in it, with several brake lines connected.

Bleed all the wheel cylinders on he car to make sure they contain nothing but fluid- all air must be purged. Maybe you did this before attacking the master cylinder- I didn't see a previous post on this. Make sure the individual wheel brake cylinders do not leak fluid.
