About Star Wars... Can anyone help pls?

I have never watched nor read any Star Wars movie or book, and I would like to start doing so. But before I would like to know something about the series. When I tried looking it up on Wikipedia, I got a little confused.

What I would like to know is:
Should I start with the books or the movies?
In what order should I watch/read the movies/books?
Anywhere where I can get a list of the books/movies available?

Any help would be greatly appreciated! :)
 
I DONT KNOW WHAT THE BIG DEAL IS SERIOUSLY.. ROBOTS, ETC.. IS KIEND OF DUMB FOR ME.. BUT ITS OK..
