about jokes to family members.........................?

when are you to old to play jokes on people? im 23 years old and i recently text message my 16 year old cousin from my sisters phone but i blocked it. in the text i said "your ugly" ofcourse i only meant this as a joke. However my cousin took it so seriously than she got very upset over it. Im known as the jokester of the family and joke around is part of my personality. i told her that it was me playing the joke on her and she still is very upset. telling me i need to act my age. is she overreacting or needs a sense of humor. and how old should a person be to stop making jokes. ive also sent messages like that to other cousins in her age range and they took it like a joke. remember the only thing i said was that she was ugly thats it. part of it was also to teach her a lesson about politness ill tell you later.

Thats not a joke, thats an insult.. you gotta know how to actually play pranks on ppl not hurt their feelings.. some jokester you are. picking on a 16 year old, and ur 23!
Are you a man or are you a kid?!! (and thats a joke too!)
