just thanking those who responded to my question. I asked it in a tough way because i wanted real answers. Though I have disagreements with how much choice is involved, i completely respect those who are gay as much as i respect myself. I just have stife urging me to help build the bridge to striaght people understanding gay and vice versa. I know a lot of people who hate gays and i do not. however I do believe that gays being allow to marry does affect the straight family.
Maily i wanted to explain that a person, specifically myself can disagree with homosexuality without being judgemental of the people who embrace the lifestyle.
thanks, god bless us all

So just how can a same sex marriage affect you???

It simply cant. Surly your not going to claim religious grounds, you simply cant because your not a person of faith,. If you were you would not be judging others. You would also be a virgin unless married and you would be respecting your neighbour as you do your self.

Problem about denying us the right to marry is that it makes us into second-class citizens in a country that supposedly prides itself on equality of citizenship for all citizens. I do not like being second-class. I have yet to find a connection between same-gender marriage and any deleterious effect it would have on conventional marriage. Marriage is marriage. People choose their own spouses.
