about a garnishment on my paycheck?

my husband has a garnishment on his pay check , for a car loan, his garnish is taken out every week he only owes about 700 more he has paid about 1,300 so far can this affect our taxes when we file on our taxes
can we get anything back from them taking out the garnishment? just asking
