Able to delete/change browser passwords?

I mistakenly entered the wrong password when logging into a web site, and not I can't seem to get the Android password to forget/change the password. I went into the Browser settings and clicked on "Clear Passwords", toggled remembering and forgetting form data & passwords. I even went into the Browser App in settings and reset the data (losing data like bookmarks), but the incorrect password remains.

Is there a password manager that would like me change or delete this browser password? Is there any other way to view or manage these passwords?

Any advice would be appreciated.

2 other options if those didn't work, which is strange....factory reset which is sucky or download another browser like Dolphin Browser (highly recommended)

What's funny is I tried installing Dolphin and it seemed to use the same credentials. It seems like Dolphin and the Android Browser are using the same password store.

Yeah I may have to go with the Nuclear Option and factory reset. Obviously I'd like to avoid that, but I may have no choice.

If you've already tried Browser -> Menu -> More -> Settings -> Clear Passwords / Clear Form Data, then you could also try clearing the cache from the same place.

Failing that, you could reset the Browser app completely, by doing Home -> Menu -> Settings -> Applications -> Manage applications -> Clear cache + Clear data. You will lose all your bookmarks, etc. The browser app will be like it was when you first ran it. It's a little less extreme than the nuclear option.

Just wanted to update: I factory-reset my device, having to re-enter all of my account credentials and re-install my apps (I opted to go without the backup so that the device remains wiped). However, I went back to the site (which is Gowalla BTW) entered my username and the bad password once again appeared.

I wonder of my credentials are somehow be stored in the cloud and associated with my Google account. I'm not sure, but I'm definitely scratching my head on this one.

I misunderstood. I thought you meant that the Browser was automatically logging you onto that site. If you're just getting a bad password message when you enter your username/password then it's the user and/or password that's probably wrong.

Check you can log in using the same user/pass using a PC.

Check using another app (anything that you can type in - Messaging, for example) that when you type your password it actually looks correct. It's common to have ' ` and I l 1 | mixed up. Also the way the capslock and shift works on Android is different to a PC - check the capital letters are correct.
