If you are talking about scar tissue or sometimes they are called adhesions, this tissue can build up and cause obstructions. An obstruction is one of the serious side effects. Sometimes you do not even know that you have scar tisssue until you need some type of abdominal surgical procedure and then the surgeon has a little harder time performing the procedure.
