A600 Device Troubleshooting, Connection Manager says "No Device"

This is the right place for threaRAB about cricket devices i don't care what any new mod thinks, i don't give an 'eff any more so lock it or ban me for talking crap if thats what you think you need to do.

:^/ How about instead of plugging in the hardware, canceling the installer, then installing the drivers, one simply installs the drivers before the plugging in the hardware? That's always worked for me....

yes the way the a600 works is that when first inserted it appears as a removable storage drive. the software and drivers install off of this drive then the modem resets and is recognized as a modem (and microsd reader) but is no longer recognized as a removable drive and the installation media is no longer available. the way it doesn't wok is that the reset sometimes occurs before the modem drivers are installed and there is no installation media provided by cricket and no download available. yes you could copy the media off the card to begin with but the problem does not manifest everytime, and this is a workaround that works without having a secondary source for the installation media readily available.

;^) Ahhhh.... that makes sense. I was assuming that the drivers, etc., were on CD, just as with the drivers for Cricket's UTStarcom 100 Mobile Broadband card. I found one in the local Goodwill and have spent some time tinkering with it. It didn't occur to me that Cricket would install that model's drivers on CD, but not the A600's.

Thanks for clearing that up....
