A600 - Any Cricket Broadband Gurus?

I'm having some issues with my A600 that are baffling me & I'm hoping somebody who's used the A600 for a while might know what's going on.

First of all, I seem to get a lot of dropped connections, especially on my one laptop. These occur even when I've got plenty of bars. The issue seems to be that the A600 software doesn't detect that I'm online. The log consistently shows connections with 0 packets up and down, even though I'm downloading multiple web pages during these sessions.

The statistics screen never shown any graph lines either. During a session, it just sits there blank, with zeros for the ul/dl bytes.

The second problem is related, I think. I have a Cisco VPN for accessing my work network. I can be on my connection for hours (when it connects) with no problem, but as soon as I fire up the VPN client and connect, the Cricket connection drops within 2-3 minutes.

It also seems maybe time related. The connection often drops exactly as the connect timer hits 3:00. Even if I'm loading pages at the time.

I've tried switching to NDIS mode, but it just never connects at all.

I've got Build 1950 of the Cricket software. Both my laptops are running XP.

Anybody have ANY ideas where I can turn? Cricket TS was not much help - I don't think they even understood the problem.
