What vegetables are originally from one place, what fruits are originally from another, and the time frame of when they were introduced elsewhere. Does anyone know a website or book with this information? Besides Wikipedia.
Information on traditional dishes aren't much use, since those dishes may have only became a traditional meal after the food was introduced to the area. For example, the potato was only introduced to Europe in the 16th century, yet there are numerous traditional European dishes which have the potato at their core.
