A twilight question??????

Okay so this is weird to think about but in twilight, if Edward cant resist the smell of bellas blood at first, and even at the end of it. How was he around her when she was on her period?
did I say anywhere in here, that I liked twilight, maybe I am over it, and just wondering about this because I wanted it answered. Gosh rude ass people
 
she's not real, therefore she doesnt have a period, therefore edward doesnt have to resist anything therefore....
