I am really starting to resent living in the UK. The new government (I voted for them) are really not helping. I'm worse off, and will continue to be so while paying for others. Weather is terrible, it's just very depressing to be here. I wish I could leave now but I'm also still finishing my graduate studies.

Anybody else moving, wants to move etc - what are your reasons. It would be just nice to know I'm not alone. I think I made a huge mistake staying here for grad school, but it's done now :(
My friend moved to OZ - I don't like it there though. But I want to leave. I can speak 2 EU languages. I can't go yet - I feel so stuck here.
Thank you for the info on France - never thought of it as a potential place to live.
I don't have time to fight for things to work in the UK. All politicians are dishonest and when I have kids I would hate to bring them up here. So many things are wrong with the UK, I don't even know where to start.
Taxes - apparently I am rich so I have to give the poor, never claimed benefits in my life, my husband and I can't afford to have children but joe bloggs from next door has 9 kids all paid for via our taxes, they get 800 odd pounds per week, we on the other had get nothing. They also get free healthcare even though they never worked.
Their children will enjoy discounted university fees, while mine (when I can afford them) will have to pay the full fee and leave university over 50K in debt even though they earn the same degree!

Our council tax is ridiculously high, but poor services in comparison to other countries in Europe.
Poor NHS - full of patients from eastern europe since they ope
