single/non-child stepdad? So here is the scoop....
I've been a single mom most of my boys lives. I met this great guy! (yay!
) He accepted my boys, ages 9 & 12. He's let me parent the way I have been all their lives....
We've lived apart up until 4 months ago, I was a renter, he is a home owner. Makes more sense to move with with him since we spent most of our time together. Summer came and gone...
With school starting, routine & schedules are back, something he is not use too, understandable, hes never had full time kids his life, we are in our early 30's btw. (bachlor of 4 yrs)
Kids are having hard time adjusting to new neighborhood, new school, new house, live in dad-to-be...(we went through this previous school yr...moved in with him, then moved out, once already)
Boys are hard enough to raise, on your own (if a woman), alone or with someone not willing to comprimise with you...i just need some advice...
When it comes to discipline should we be meeting in the middle, comprimising, trying to work together or having it one of it our ways (sticking to how they kids were raised, from day 1)?
I would like to comprimise, he doesn't seem to wanting to meet in the middle...
He's never & not the type to lay any kind of hand on kids, he's a real good guy.
Discipline form....grounding child to room & chores.....but for child having attitude & not explaining to him why he's grounded
