a significant figure in history who was famously jealous of somebody?

I need the information for a play I've written - a history teacher is giving a lesson, one of the students is jealous of another, so I want the lesson to be from a period in history in which somebody is jealous - it needs to be quite well known if possible because I want the audience to get it! Thanks.
