It's been happening to me for years, but it's been happening more often lately. Everything's normal until all of a sudden when I try to breathe, there's a sharp pain in my lower left chest. It spikes whenever I try to take a deep breath, so I have to breathe shallowly until it goes away. It doesn't last long, but still, I'm worried. I'm mid-teens, I exercise every day (not vigorously but enough to keep me at a healthy weight, and I don't spend a lot of time outdoors unless I have to.
What's wrong? Should I be really worried? My parents think it's nothing to worry about, but I'm not so sure. Any answers would be greatly appreciated.
