A serious debate about double standards.....?

I am sorry, I don't care for this show but a question sparked a thought...

I answered a question not too long ago for someone about Jon and Kate getting a divorce. I answered the question and said that she emasuclates him and disrespects him on national TV for what seems like the entire episode. Clearly the number of children that they have puts a strain on their relationship, but the way she speaks to him, in my opinion, is unacceptable. I was amazed to see the amount of excuses that she was being given for her behavior, from other women.

And so, my question is, if the roles were reversed and he was the one talking her that way, don't you thing the people making excuses for her would be enraged with his attitude? Why is it that women treating their husbands or boyfriends like children and are disrespectful are cut slack, when men are chastised?

EDIT: Baby T... EXACTLY! She stays at home with the children while he pays all of the bills. She really needs to appreciate what she has.
 
I agree with you completely. I'm not a racist or a sexist or anything like that, but the people who have been "oppressed" or treaten differently in the past (i.e. women, minorities, etc.) are automatically given much more slack. It is completely unfair to people, which is why feminists are considered productive organizations but if men ever tried anything like that they would be instant sexists. It is also the reason why the KKK is racist (I don't condone the KKK because they are horrible, violent, bad people for the most part, but you get the idea of what I'm saying) but the Black Panthers are just standing up for their rights. Stuff like this really aggravates me, but there isn't much that we can really do about it with our American lifestyle.
 
You are so right !!!!! The Bitch is crazy sometimes .I would Leave! He has to take care of those children anyway.
