Hi all
It's been a while since I posted but new flare up has more questions...my last treatment for my bulging disc was a scary nerve root block last August. In Deceraber had follow up appointment, doc said only thing he suggests next is nerve burning, but to do so he'd have to do more diagnostic injections. I thought I'd had these already with two rounRAB but I guess they were pain relief and not diagnostic, does that sound right? Any thoughts on nerve burning?
Also wanted to ask about chronic pain in general which I think I'm classed as now, over 6 years of increasing pain. How do we know when we are just learning to manage chronic pain or when our condition is getting worse? I mean how often are we supposed to get MRIs (my last one over a year ago), to check for worsening? Some days I feel I can manage this positive thinking route, and others I wonder if I'm simply "accepting" a condition that could be worsening. How do we manage the difference? I guess I can live with my current good days/bad days but I'd hate to think I could be worsening when I could have controlled it if monitored. Hope this makes sense to someone!
