A REALLY FIRM slap on the butt, in the past, but now?

There's a lady I work with, she's about 20-25 years older than me, however, I barely see her at work, but when I do, she always wants me email her and then she ends up starting an everlasting conversation, why?

Not to mention, this is the same woman who has slapped me on my butt before REALLY FIRM, as she walked pass me, in the past.
 
Bro, you're asking the wrong people. There are a lot of possibilities, and she's the only one who really knows.

Obviously, she finds you interesting in some fashion or another, and she'd like to have more of your time. She may want to be friends, she may like the way you look, she may have heard that you're really good at your job, ... we could brainstorm a list.

Does her attention bother you? You could kill two birds with one stone by confronting her directly and politely.

"Marge, I appreciate the attention you give me, but I'm a little off balance here. I don't see a lot in common, and that physical abuse really makes me uncomfortable. So what's the story from your side?"
