A "rant" worth reading?

Why are you all attacking eachother on here? On the internet? This is supposed to be a place to gain knowledge on certain subjects, not to bash other religions (or lack thereof)!

I'm a high school student, and the amount of rude, arrogant adults is sickening! Stand firm in your beliefs, but dont put down someone elses!

Answers from Atheists like "Uh, God doesnt exist. Stop talking to imaginary friends." and from Christians like "Youre going to hell. Nice knowing ya." are completely rediculous! Its so unnecessary. If the question doesnt apply to you dont answer.

Christians, we're supposed to love ALL our brothers and sisters, whether they are in Christ or not! They are God's creations and they are here for a reason!

Atheists, if you are happy not believing anything, than I'm happy for you! I hope you have a truly great life, and I love you all the same.

ANYONE, why bring someone down, when you can as easily raise them up?
You all are calling me niave for wanting people to be less rude. Yes, I know the world is a nasty place, and this is just the internet, but it's not like Im going to go stand on a street corner about having manners.

Normal high school response? Not knowing what a true conflict is? I'm not saying this is the end of the world! I'm simply saying that people dont need to act so immature.
 
Its human nature to compete/fight. However i agree some people are *use imagination*.
 
The Christians started it with the Crusades, Inquisitions, Witch Trials, etc...
 
Sorry, all I can say is this is a typical high school response. You really have no clue about what is a serious conflict and what is not.
 
this is free speech at it's finest.. appreciate that... we are all comfortable in our lounge chairs nice and safe... it's honest debate, it really is something special
 
Just to point out a couple of things.. First of all, I've never seen anyone say "you're going to hell, nice knowing ya". Second, our brothers and sisters are fellow Christians. We should love the rest of the world too, but they are not our brothers and sisters. I agree that there is way too much bashing on here, and I try not to contribute.

Ok I see your naivity here. Don't worry. My first question was on R&S and I felt like crying (atheists are so mean!). Now I'm used to it.

Here's how I see it.
It is the internet. Duh! Real life, I think not!

Also, atheists just piss me off b/c they don't even TRY to understand religion. It's like teaching an old dog new tricks. I don't tell people to go to hell, but I would like to shake them.

Atheists also always assume Christians have no common sense or logic. That's SOOOOOOO retarded. I can't believe anyone has the audacity to belittle someone for wanting to adopt a belief system to straighten out their life....

Now who's cruel? No, Christians by far are the nicer ones. The real Christians.

Lets me tell you my favorite rant in a free times in Columbia, SC..

This is to the guy who sped by me this morning while I was walking my dog and didn't even stop after running over my dog. YOU DRUG MY DOG FROM HIS LEASH ON YOUR CAR! What an asshole
 
You * do * realize that if I "stand firm in my beliefs", I am, in essence, telling everyone else that they are in error.

I'll hang out with them. I'll have a beer with them. But I will not believe their view to be correct. It would be illogical.
 
Theists, especially christians, try to control and restrict us based on their views. If all christians stop crusading against science, education, culture, art, sex and sexuality, religious freedom and such, and stop telling everybody else they're going to be tortured throughout eternity unless they join you, I assure you that you won't encounter nearly as much hostility.

Christians still kill kids for "witchcraft" today.

Well now! I do not know how old you are, but my dear girl you are quite a special person. You are absolutely correct! That last comment of yours "why bring someone down, when you can as easily raise them up"?
sounds as if it is the title of song that we should all be singing.

Just continue to be an example of what you would like this world to be, and you cannot go wrong. We need more young people thinking the way you do.

I congratulate you for having a very wise and loving head on your shoulder. DO NOT LET ANYBODY CHANGE YOU. You are an example of what a true Christian should be. In fact everybody in every religion, and others like atheists and agnostics etc. should take note of what you are saying. Including myself. I slip up now and again but from this moment on I am going to remember what you have said and hold myself back from being negative towards anyone.
