A question please help...thanks

A question for you guys/gals. I'm on .25mg xanax two times a day my problem is this past prescription ran out (I was taking 3 as opposed to two) I admited as such to the pharmacy, I didn't think it was a big deal but they wouldn't refill it so I have 9 days now until it's filled. I explained my situation as to why I increased it and they did politely asked if I wanted them to call my primary care doc. mon. to see if upping the dose would be o.k.......my question is is this safe for me to "just stop" I know the dose is low but, I do need it. Any incite would be appreciated.
 
really for the time being you have no other option....whne monday comes call your doctor and explain what happened and see if they will help you but in any case when you notice something isnt working you should call your doctor right away so something like this doesnt happen...he can write you anoter perscription when the other runs out. but just give your doctor a call tomorrow you shouldnt have too much of a problem with only one day off
