A question for those with the iPhone: What's it like for texting?

The only reason why I'm a little hesitant to buy it is because of the touch screen keyboard. Is it hard to text on? Reason why I'm asking is because my current phone has an optional touchscreen keyboard, and I hate it with a passion. I could be texting someone and mean to press "R" and instead, I'd press "Y"

So, is the iPhone easy to text on?
