i was wondering..
when a human female is having her menstrual cycle she can't conceive during that time, not only is there the 'no egg' factor, but also, the lining of the uterus is shedding (which is needed for an embryo to implant itself into) right?
yet, there are some animals (dogs and cats and things) that, the only time they can CAN conceive is when they are bleeding.
why is that?
don't they need the lining of the uterus to implant a fertilized egg into?
if they are having their menstrual cycle, how come they conceive?
do they have totally different wombs to humans?
thanx
