G godj31 New member May 15, 2009 #1 it says it redlines at 6500 rpms but it upshifts at like 6000 rpms so whats up with the 500 why doesnt it go all the way to the redline before it shifts? then why dont they just make it upshift at 6300?

C C-Tech New member May 15, 2009 #2 There is a safety factor built in to keep from over-reving the engine. You don't want to buy a new engine every time you push it hard.
