A question about my insurance....Ok I had a car accident like 2 months ago and...?

I went to the emergency room and after 3 weeks I got a bill of 12000 and I am so worry...My husband got from the military 3 months ago...So we found out that the army will pay the money but we will pay the 20%. I am just curious if the army will investigate why the bill is so high. I tried to contact the bill office of the hospital but they didnt help me...and my husband said that leave it to the army that they will investigate why was so high.. is that true? Or do I need to go and see if the hospital is just trying to charge me alot moneyt or maybe there is a mistake...or what.... Or just leave it like that and let my insurence investigate?I really dont know what to do anymore...I already call many numbers to see why is my bill so high but nobody really help me instead they just say can we call you later and they never call me....I went to the hospital and they just gave another number I called and the same thing...this is the first time that this happen to me....I really need help...Thank you, and god bless you!!
