The rims on my Diamond Back Mountain Bike have seen better days. They dont lie flat any more - they each got a "hop" in them. I mountain bike about once a week. Not a competitor - just a hobbyist. Is it true that plastic rims - mountain bike wheels (not the tires just the wheels) almost never get dented or bent? What are they made from - plastic or polycarbonite?
