A question about greengrocery and pork?

In my life,it is said that farmers sprinkle some light toxicant to kill the worms on the vegetable in order to avoid worms' bitting , but the toxicant is not easy to wash completely. When people use it into meals, it can harm pepole!
And pork is something like this. farmers add some additive in the pig's feed to make pigs to grow faster. Maybe that is bad for people's health. what's the situation in USA?
