Basically, a little over a year ago I was in a really horrible car accident. I was the passenger and my mom was driving, we were going through an intersection (we had the green light of course) and some guy came flying off the freeway ramp going over 50 miles per hour, ran the red light and smashed right into us. (right where i was sitting) He tried running away but our witnesses caught him. Turns out he was drunk of course. Well, turns out he and my mom both had the same insurance company... high risk insurance. (haha) We got a lawyer and he really didn't do anything for us. He sent letters to the company saying he was going to sue but the insurance company NEVER reciprocated. They acted like nothing ever happened! So i never got a dime. Oh, my injuries. my entire left leg blew up like a balloon within minutes and i had the biggest bruise you've ever seen for a few months. i now have a huge scar there and to this day i still experience bad leg pains when i wake up in the morning. Also my head and hand were pouring blood from the glass. The doctors told me if i hadn't been in a jeep and he wasn't in such a small car i probably would have been killed. After we got rid of that lawyer we kind of just let it go. My question is can i still sue? It really bothers me that this guy never really had to pay for this horrible thing he put us through. I live in washington.
